ACC Workplace Safety Discount
ACC’s Workplace Safety Discount programme rewards the self-employed and small to medium businesses that implement sound health and safety practices. This is an opportunity to have your workplace health and safety systems recognised with a 10% discount on your Worker Levies.
ACC’s brochure says the Workplace Safety Discount rewards those businesses with a proven commitment to reducing injuries in their workplace. This in turn reduces the costs of staff absence, reduced productivity, official investigations, and the personal, professional and social impacts for the injured people themselves.

ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices
ACC’s Workplace Safety Management Practices programme is designed for large and medium employers. It rewards employers who build safer workplaces.
In exchange for putting in place systems and processes that promote injury prevention, the programme gives employers a discount of 10%, 15% or 20% on their standard ACC WorkPlace Cover levies.
And if your business is structured so that you are both self-employed and an employer, then the discount could also apply to your self-employed ACC levies, for example ACC CoverPlus or ACC CoverPlus Extra.
